An Atlanta-based Italian cuisine restaurant is slated for the Gulch building housing a Hyatt Caption hotel.
Yeppa & Co. will operate in the ground level of the 12-story structure, which is located at 118 12th Ave. S. and sits at the T-intersection of 11th Avenue South and McGavock Street.
Restaurant group Storico operates a Yeppa & Co. in Buckhead Village and on the Atlanta Beltline, with the hospitality business owned by Pietro Gianni and Stephen Peterson. Atlanta Magazine notes Storico also operates Atlanta Italian cuisine restaurants Storico Fresco and Forza Storico.
The Yeppa & Co. menu notes most entrees are priced at $25 and up. The restaurant’s interior offers a Formula One racing theme.
According to a document submitted to the Metro Development and Housing Agency, the exterior of the northwest segment of the Caption building will be altered to accommodate the restaurant.
With the property sitting within MDHA’s Arts Center Redevelopment District, the agency’s design review committee will need to approve the plan. A May 19 meeting is slated.
Via a partnership, New Orleans-based real estate firm HRI Hospitality and Nashville-based C.B. Ragland Company developed the Gulch site with the 210-room Caption hotel.
A structure housing since-closed restaurant and bar Whiskey Kitchen previously operated at the site on which now sits the Hyatt Caption hotel building.
