Five courses:

  1. Sweet Jesus Oysters on the Half Shell
    Champagne Mignonette
  2. Steak Tartare, Prime Beef Tenderloin, Jalapeño Oil,
    Fresh Chives, Baguette Toast Points
  3. Pan-Seared Sea Scallop, Wilted Baby Spinach, Crispy Bacon, Argentine Chimichurri
    (my favorite course)
  4. Pan-Roasted Hudson Valley Magret of Duck, French Coco Beans, Crispy Lardons, Frisée, Aged Sherry Vinaigrette
  5. Chocolate Cake, Mascarpone Layers, Crème Anglaise

Picture of cheese cart included, but I did not partake.

Also, last pic is from when Harry Sussex visited Baltimore and ate there. He has good taste, obviously.

I have such fond memories of a meal here three years ago. Loved the menu format (even loved watching one friend plow through his seventh course when the rest of us ordered five), loved the unflashy but very smart cooking, loved the madeira selections after dinner. I also have a sentimental attachment because a friend drank too much wine there and started telling us very funny but TMI stories about his past, and he died the following year, so when I think of him, I think of Charleston.

Didn’t remember them using the same plate for everything but it’s kinda hilarious.
