Opa! St. Demetrios Greek Festival returns with food, wine, and family traditions

The St. Demetrios Greek Wine and Food Festival is set to return to Upper Darby this May, bringing a lively celebration of Greek culture, cuisine, and community. The beloved annual tradition features authentic dishes, fine wines, music, and dancing, offering visitors a true taste of Greece right in their neighborhood. Festival spokesperson Theodora, along with the festival’s cherished “Yiayia,” Thalia, joined us in the PHL17 kitchen to share what guests can expect and how generations of family recipes and traditions continue to make this event a local favorite.
