Hidden Creek Opens Wine Barrel Homes

ROSCOE, Ill. (WIFR) – A ribbon-cutting ceremony held Thursday, May 21, celebrates Home Creek Estates adding to its 77-acre property with new small living spaces.

Five wine-barrel shaped homes named for regions famous for wine around the world — Barolo, Napa, Champagne, Rhone and Tuscany — feature king-size beds, full bathrooms, climate control and their own patios.

Owner Kerry Frank says a friend’s trip inspired the project. “One of our friends had come back and saw wine barrel little homes when they were traveling and showed them to me and thought it would be great on the property. That was almost three years ago, and about two years ago, we really started, as a family, trying to figure out how to build them and make them unique to our area, and so we have wine barrel tiny homes; there’s nothing like them anywhere. They’re really amazing and everything here is about luxury.”

The homes are available for rent now on the Hidden Creek website. Hidden Creek Estates is located at 13276 White School Road in Roscoe.
