IN BREVE

Casa 50 opens in Rome, combining a Mediterranean restaurant and Neapolitan pizzeria on via Velletri.

The venue, covering approximately 250 square meters, will have 80-90 seats and a staff of 20 professionals from the 50 Kalò group.

The kitchen offers dishes inspired by Neapolitan tradition, with a wide selection of appetizers, first, and second courses.

The pizza at Casa 50 will not be Ciro Salvo’s classic style, but an independent offering cooked in an electric oven.

Located in a strategic area, Casa 50 aims to serve residents, professionals, students, and tourists.

Casa 50, the new format by the Ciro Salvo and Alessandro Guglielmini group, opens in Rome at via Velletri 16/22, just steps from via Veneto. Following its debut in Naples in September 2025, the project arrives in the capital with a format that combines a Mediterranean restaurant and Neapolitan pizzeria.

The opening is imminent. The venue spans an area of about 250 square meters and has 80-90 seats, with approximately 70 indoors and 20 outdoors. The staff will consist of 20 professionals selected and trained according to the 50 Kalò group philosophy, based on hospitality, attention to raw materials, and guest care.

Casa 50 Rome was born as a lifestyle project, where gastronomy and design coexist in an environment built to offer a complete experience. The visual identity features brick red, the signature color of the 50 Kalò brand, expressed through different textures and finishes. The spaces have been designed to accompany various moments of the day, from lunch to aperitifs and dinner.

“Casa 50 aims to be a home, a meeting place, and an aesthetic and gustatory pleasure—a place capable of combining conviviality and privacy, style and domestic warmth. The Rome location was born with this vision, designed to offer Romans and visitors to the capital an authentic gastronomic experience, rooted in the most genuine flavors of Neapolitan cuisine,” says Stefano Guglielmini, general manager of Casa 50.

MEDITERRANEAN CUISINE AND NEAPOLITAN TRADITION

The new Roman address focuses on a gastronomic offering inspired by Neapolitan tradition. The cuisine will be Mediterranean, with dishes that tell the story of Naples through classic ingredients and preparations.

Among the appetizers, there is plenty of room for fried specialties, including the Bucatini Frittatina with béchamel, provola, and cooked ham, and the Crispy Artichoke with chickpea hummus and green sauce. The menu also features Meatballs in San Marzano PDO ragù with 24-month Parmesan, Eggplant Parmigiana, “Mbuttunato” Pepper with cafone bread and sausage, and Buffalo Mozzarella PDO with tomatoes and basil.

The selection of first courses is extensive. Highlights include: Spaghetti alla Nerano with zucchini, fried blossoms, and Provolone del Monaco PDO; Gratinéed Pasta and Potatoes with Gragnano PGI and Parmigiano Reggiano; Caprese Ravioli with four types of tomatoes and Parmesan fondue; Organic Lemon Pesto Risotto with red shrimp tartare and basil; and Tagliolino with butter and Irpinian white ham ragù.

For the main courses, the focus remains on raw materials with selected cuts of meat, grilled oily fish, salmon fillet, black pork fillet with jus and sautéed chicory, and free-range chicken supreme with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and lemon sauce.

THE PIZZA STYLE CHANGES COMPARED TO 50 KALÒ

Alongside the kitchen, there will also be pizza, with an offering distinct from the historic 50 Kalò style. In fact, the classic pizza signed by Ciro Salvo will not be coming to Rome; instead, there will be an independent line designed to complement the restaurant format.

The pizzas will be cooked in an electric oven and will feature classic interpretations such as Cosacca, Marinara, Marinara reinforced with Mediterranean anchovies and tomato confit, Margherita, Margherita with Buffalo Mozzarella PDO, Provola and Pepper, Diavola with Naples salami, Buffalo and Fiocco with Irpinian ham, Sausage and Potatoes, Ricotta, Zucchini Blossoms and Salami, and Baked Calzone.

DESSERTS, WINES, AND COCKTAILS

The dessert selection will include Tiramisù, Lemon or Chocolate Caprese with vanilla gelato, chocolate cake, and the Lemon Delizia by Sal De Riso. The beverage list will focus on Italian wines, with particular attention to Campanian wineries, as well as Champagne and cocktails dedicated to mixology service.

Casa 50 Rome is located in a strategic area of the city, between via Veneto, the FIGC, Rinascente, and La Sapienza University, with the goal of attracting residents, professionals, students, and international tourists.
