Haven’t made a cake in months and wanted to try something new for my friend. This is an 8x8inch (to the tip of the cherries) and was wondering how much this would go for just by the looks?

Inside it’s vanilla cream, chocolate mousse, cherry compote, chocolate sponge 🙂

EDIT: first of all, thank you guys for all the amazing compliments i definitely feel great after reading your comments 🙂

To answer the #1 question, the outer layer is tempered dark chocolate 😁 I will add a slice photo when my friend sends one

I have no idea on cost (dependent on location, time, base costs etc) but this is certainly as good as anything ive seen at high end events.

My first guess is between $75 and $120. Gorgeous! What’s the black made of?

Sounds like a heavenly combination in there!

I have no idea about pricing especially for the size and the quality of the cake! I would be curious to know the recipe/s if you used them and if you are willing to share! I have been looking for a black forest recipe 🤤

There is nothing simple about this. It’s stunning and elegant. It’s gorgeous. The flavors sound divine.

    That’s not a forest that’s a cake. 🤣

  8. What is the outer made of? Modeling chocolate? Looks amazing!

Are the sides of the cake a shell? Would love to know how you did that!

Sis. That’s visually simple maybe, but clearly not so technique wise. That’s stunning. I’m not good at putting value on what cake should cost. I just know I’d pay good money for that. I wouldn’t even question it. So clean!

I would pay $60 but I’m broke you could get $100-150

So curious on how you learned this technique for it to be so smooth on the outside??

How did you do the chocolate surface? Looks stunning. Price varies on many things like location, quality of ingredients, time, etc. but in any case this looks to be on the higher end of the spectrum for whichever range it is in

A wealthy wasp woman would pay 100 to 150 for this, Very crisp

Absolutely stunning! This distracted me from the fresh plum galette that I am supposed to be working on right now 😂
