I started about 20 different pepper plants inside this year and for whatever reason a few of them just got bigger than the rest and one in particular was just too big to keep under the grow light so I decided to harden it off just for a few days and then plant it out in one of my GreenStalks. I knew it was too early based on the extended forecast and sure enough a couple days later we had one night that got down to about 25°F and a few days later it got down to 22 or 23°F. During that time, and after that second cold night, it went from just wilted to the leaves turning brown and cracking. I started to remove most of the really bad leaves, leaving what you see in the first two pics but then a couple days later they turned brown so I ended up removing every leaf that was on the plant. Well, the third picture is how it looks today about 3-4 weeks later. To be honest, I'm not even sure what variety it is because I assumed it would die and didn't even bother putting out the plant label. I'll definitely be following this one throughout the season to see how well it produces.
