Blue Bell’s new Black Raspberry Fudge Ice Cream is its first raspberry flavor in years and is now available nationwide

The brand also announced a Brookie À La Mode flavor, along with recently launching high-protein dessert offerings

Last year, Blue Bell brought back the fan-favorite Groom’s Cake flavor and other limited-time choices after a fan vote

Blue Bell is releasing a new berry and chocolate flavor, just in time for summer.

The ice cream brand announced a new Black Raspberry Fudge Ice Cream flavor in a May 21 press release. The flavor is available nationwide for a limited time.

The ice cream features a black raspberry base studded with dark chocolate-flavored chunks and a chocolate fudge swirl.

In the brand’s post teasing the new ice cream flavor, fans raved in the comments section.

“You always speak my language Blue Bell… 🤤 let’s do this! ❤️,” one commenter wrote.

The company noted in the release that this new flavor marks the first time the brand has developed a raspberry flavor in several years.

Another new offering from the brand is the Brookie À La Mode flavor. The brownie-cookie hybrid-inspired ice cream has a brown sugar base with brownie chunks and chocolate chip cookie pieces swirled throughout.

Back in March, the ice cream company released PRO pints, a high-protein dessert offering with 12 grams of protein in chocolate, coffee, salted caramel, strawberry and vanilla flavors.

Around this time last year, the brand brought back a limited-time Groom’s Cake flavor.

The milk chocolate ice cream loaded with chocolate cake pieces, chocolate-covered strawberry hearts, strawberry sauce and chocolate icing won “The Great Scoop Revival Flavor Tournament,” a March Madness-style competition in which fans voted on which discontinued flavor to bring back among 16 options.

Blue Bell also brought back the runner-up, Cookie Cake, along with Bride’s Cake, an almond ice cream featuring white cake pieces and amaretto cream cheese icing swirls, for a limited time last year.

Influencer Kit Keenan recently went viral for creating an arguably less delicious ice cream flavor (which she admitted was “a bit of rage bait”).

The content creator, who is also designer Cynthia Rowley’s daughter, posted a TikTok of her air-fried sardines and vanilla ice cream dessert.

“This is what I eat for dessert every night,” she says in the video, eating a bite of vanilla ice cream topped with sardines. “So salty and delicious.”

Keenan shared how she made the combination with vanilla Van Leeuwen ice cream and mashed, air-fried Fishwife sardines.

Her fans and friends were in shock in the comments section, though some commenters said that they were down to try the interesting flavor.

Keenan told PEOPLE that she made the combination as “a bit of rage bait” and a way to create a new take on the “tinned fish craze.”

However, “I actually was surprised at how delicious it was,” Keenan said.

She said that the dessert was pretty mild, due to the flavor of the sardines, which were preserved in lemon.

“It’s not necessarily something that I am going to make a million times or become a household staple,” Keenan said of the dessert. “But I’m always happy to experiment in the kitchen. And I feel like this was just a fun little experiment.”
