Gendusa’s Italian Eatery, which closed its small Rivertown location to open a larger spot in another Kenner location, will soon be reopening as Gendusa’s Pizzeria.
KENNER, La. — A popular Rivertown Italian restaurant will be reopening under a slightly different theme soon, according to a post on its social media page.
Gendusa’s Italian Eatery, which closed its small Rivertown location to open a larger spot in another Kenner location, will soon be reopening as Gendusa’s Pizzeria, with a smaller menu tailored to pizzas along with a handful of appetizers, sandwiches and plate dinners.
“We have heard many times about missing the old location,” said a Facebook post earlier this month. “I will be re-opening a place called Gendusa’s Pizzeria… I’m going back to my roots with a simple menu.” The post says no alcohol will be served and that customers won’t be charged a corkage fee if they bring their own.
The post, nor a Facebook page now dedicated strictly to the pizza place in Rivertown, has posted an official opening date. The social post announcing the restaurant’s opening does say that when it opens, it will only serve Friday-Sunday from 11am to 9 pm to start.
