Today we picked strawberries and I tried to make strawberry Jam. I have ball' blue book and followed their recipe for low sugar jam. I did my best to try and spoon out all of the foam but I couldn't get every last bit of it.
I know when you are canning you don't want bubbles in your food would that be the case here as well? I stirred all the jam but looks like some bubbles still persisted and looks like all of my cans have a little bit of foam at the top.
Is this going to be a problem? Going forward am I better off running the jam through a cheesecloth to remove more of the foam?
