The two-part wine event features exclusive tastings with 10 renowned wineries.

Celebration of Argentina’s signature grape arrives in Los Angeles this week as Fuegos LA hosts an immersive two-part event for Malbec World Day on Thursday, April 16.

The South Los Angeles venue, located at 3957 S. Western Ave., will transform into a viticultural hub featuring 10 of Argentina’s most prominent wineries. The programming aims to bridge the gap between high-altitude Andean vineyards and local enthusiasts through direct engagement with industry experts.

The evening commences at 6 p.m. with an intimate “Meet the Makers” session. This limited-capacity tasting allows guests to sample premium selections while discussing terroir and traditional production techniques with the winemakers.

Transitioning at 8 p.m., the event shifts into a high-energy celebration featuring curated wine flights and live music. The second phase of the night focuses on the contrast between “Iconic” and “New” Malbecs, highlighting the grape’s evolution from heavy, oak-aged styles to contemporary, fruit-forward expressions.

Tickets for the Winemaker Tasting and the afterparty are available here.
