NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A new self-pour wine bar will be coming to The Gulch neighborhood in Nashville later this year.

Vagabond, a new self-pour wine bar and restaurant, will be opening in Nashville in late 2026.

The bar and restaurant was created by Stephen Finch, a Vanderbilt University graduate, who first introduced the concept in the United Kingdom in 2010. Those businesses are now the “most awarded” self-pour wine bars in the UK, a spokesperson for Vagabond said.

“I created Vagabond as a wine bar for the rest of us, everyone who likes wine but doesn’t necessarily know much about it,” Finch said. “My goal is to strip away the needless snobbery and impenetrable complexity of traditional wine culture and instead allow guests to experience and explore wine on their own terms in a uniquely experiential way. We want guests to feel confident trying new wines, discovering why they like what they like while enjoying a one-of-a-kind experience whether it’s a night out with friends, date night, group outings, happy hour or anything in between.”

Finch’s longtime connection to Music City was a major reason he decided to bring Vagabond to Nashville as the business’ U.S. debut market.

“Nashville has always been such a special and foundational part of my life, and I am proud to be recreating the Vagabond brand here for my family and friends and to give them, as well as the rest of Music City, a place to explore wine freely and joyfully. The energy in Nashville today rivals that of some of the biggest and most dynamic cities in the world I’ve lived in, and I am excited for Vagabond to help grow the city’s reputation as a food and drinks mecca of the South,” he said.

Vagabond will feature a selection of 100 “carefully curated, frequently rotating wines,” the spokesperson said.

In addition to the wine, Vagabond will feature a food menu of seasonal small plates and shareables inspired by wine-producing regions around the world.

The spokesperson said the bar and restaurant will also feature a full-service bar with an “emphasis on Tennessee-made whiskeys and a self-pour beer wall showcasing local and regional craft beers.”

Vagabond will be located at 1000 Division Street in The Gulch. The 2,800-square-foot wine bar and restaurant is expected to debut in late 2026.
