HELLERTOWN, Pa. — Police in Northampton County are investigating what they think could be a cooking oil theft after oil was spilled all over the roads.
Hellertown police say an oil spill was reported Thursday afternoon down High Street, Route 412, and Main Street.
Hellertown police tell 69 News that businesses within the borough have reported that their tanks storing used cooking oil have been emptied.
So far, no arrests have been made and no information has been released about a possible suspect.
Officials say a company is cleaning the oil off the roadways.
