Two Palm Beach dining establishments with French connections are hosting special themed multi-course wine-paired dinners in June.

Advance reservations are required for both. 

June 11 heralds a rosé wine dinner at French-American restaurant Café Boulud at The Brazilian Court, 301 Australian Ave.  

A selection of rosé wines from around the world have been chosen by Café Boulud sommelier David Sauer and will be paired with a five-course dinner by executive chef Christopher Zabita and pastry chef Rosana Quintero.

After a 6:45 p.m. reception, the 7 p.m. dinner will start with a buttermilk fried oyster, followed by such wine-paired courses as cured salmon with baba ghanoush, pickled cherries, pomegranate and watercress; and seared shrimp with muhammara, herbed gnocchi and whipped goat cheese. 

Grilled swordfish with marinated tomatoes, anchovy emulsion and black-olive powder is the next course. 

For dessert, Thai basil-and-strawberry shortcake will be featured.

French bistro La Goulue in Palm Beach will host a June 18 wine dinner with French wine selections from Kobrand Fine Wine & Spirits.  

The 7 p.m. affair will include a multi-course menu by executive chef Gwen Le Pape and will be paired with selections from Kobrand’s portfolio of French wines.

Kobrand wine specialist Antoine Collet is set to co-host the dinner with Le Pape and La Goulue sommelier Xavier To Van Trang. 

A cucumber bite topped with Altima caviar starts the meal. Other wine-paired dishes are set to include salmon credo with dill foam on a crispy tartlet, and wood-oven roasted mini walnut brie with toast points.  

A cabbage dumpling stuffed with duck and young turkey is the next course, followed by seared prime flat-iron steak with Béarnaise sauce, duchess potatoes and grilled scallions.

Dessert is set to feature a crunchy lace crepe with salted caramel ice cream.
