I’ve had this bad boy for 7 years after finding it in an alley! I’ve previously repaired the handle after the it rusted off. It now seems that the leg joints have seen better days. Might try JB Weld, might just be time to retire this one. The pork loin that was mid-smoke turned out excellent!

Sad day. Do you have any pictures from when she was a pup?

I believe Weber can sell you a bottom bowl. Use your existing legs, get a modern ash catcher and turn it into a Mastertouch. Or you could go for the redneck Performer idea.

Had this exact same issue, with a couple of 18” pieces of rebar driven into the ground and a bunch of tie wire I was able to stabilize it in place for another 2 years and continue grilling. Drilled out the spot welds and installed bolts too.

Had a similar issue recently. For the hell of it, I tried a warranty claim, even though I’m not sure how it fell apart. I assume my 90 pound dog body checked it at some point. Weber, sent me a new lower bowl and leg kit for free. I then decided to upgrade the wheels. Check my post history on it if that interests you.

  9. I was gonna say it must have been a 50 lb brisket that did it.

“I let my tape rock til my tape pop.” Looks like you got your money’s worth out of it.

Was it the kegs or the cuffs that hold the legs? Contact Weber they’re very good at supplying parts

  12. Turn it into a firepit! That’s my plan if I find a super cheap/roadside kettle or one of mine does something like this. Looks like you already got a bucket to set it on lol.

This is an excellent excuse to build a Weber table
