My local supermarket in Kansai (not in a touristy area) closes at 8pm. From 7pm, they start discounting all the fresh fish and sushi that must be sold today. I picked this up at about 7:45pm. There were two of these and some maguro sushi.
Regular price was ¥1,000, but was discounted 70% off, or ¥324 yen with tax. Very decent delicious sushi dinner for USD$2. Just enough to fill my belly after working out.

My local super just retired their 50% off stickers. Now their max is 40% 😭
Most if not every supermarket do this , 70% is a great find ! Most of it is usually gone by the time it hits 50% off
