If you love Italian food in Buffalo, we have some sad news.
Dalfonso’s Italian Imports is closing at the end of this month. If you never made it in, here’s what made it so special. Owner Jeff Dalfonso shared the news in a heartfelt post, saying after 20 years in the Buffalo food scene it’s time to step away and take care of himself. The community is feeling it.
The spot was the real deal. Jeff brought something totally unique to Buffalo: Puccia rolls, a dense, stuffable Italian bread with roots in Roman-era street food that you couldn’t find anywhere else in WNY. Every sandwich was made simple, with rotating weekly fillings and high-quality imported ingredients. The homemade cannolis with fun rotating flavors were a huge fan favorite too.
The good news? You still have time. Dalfonso’s is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 4pm, through the end of the month. Get in for a sandwich, grab some cannolis, and stock your pantry with a few imported Italian goods before this one is gone. 💔🇮🇹
