A bit of a last minute booking when I was in Kyoto last year.
Torisho Sai is a yakitori restaurant with a particular focus on the Hinai chicken, one of the three major breeds of chicken in Japan. They offer an omakase experience.
There was four of us and we opted for drink pairing with our omakase meal. As for the pairing, they offer a wine pairing and a sake pairing. All of us went for the sake pairing.
I can't remember the exact courses we had but the majority of them were chicken with some duck dishes and some vegetable dishes as well.
It was a lovely last minute decision that I definitely do not regret.
