I just bought a canned tuna but I'm not sure how to eat it. Do u cook it or just eat straight from the can? I recently moved to Germany for my studies and I know little to no cooking tbh(most days I just eat bread and apples). Can someone suggest me some cheap but healthy foods for everyday?

Many people choose to mix this with a little mayonnaise and then to put it on a sandwich. Some people add tiny chopped pickles or onions to that mixture.

You can also put it on top of some lettuce or shredded cabbage as a salad, and add other vegetables.

Its ready to eat but I would mix it with some cooked pasta, mayonnaise and tinned sweetcorn

Its a cheap, filling uni meal!

Also, look for a tuna pasta bake sauce. Like above its cheap and filling

And baked potatoes with tuna, mayo and sweetcorn

Like other said, mix with mayo but I tend to use aioli then add grated cheese and red onions and then turn into a tuna melt grilled sandwich or panini.

Most students in Spain heat the content of the can in tomato sauce and mix it with spaghetti. It’s commonly used to fill things like cannelloni, empanadas, sandwichs, you can even make a express pate blending it with some boiled egg and mayonnaise, anchovies and olives or capers if you want. Also, to make Olivier salad (russian salad in Spain)

add canned corn eggs, minced onions, carrots and paprikas, rice, something green, french vinaigrette and some extra french mustard and voila.

you can replace rice by red beans or pasta (but then remove eggs and add olives)

Sometimes I cook pasta and add some chopped boiled eggs, tuna, tomato and mayo. (This is pasta salad, some people add more vegetables like peppers, or add cooked freezed vegetables)

Tuna salad! Mayonnaise, chopped onion, dash of mustard, sweet pickle relish, mix, eat between two slices of bread. I actually toast my bread and put some spicy sprouts on one side of the bread with the tuna salad. Better if you chill the tuna salad and then make the sandwich.

Drained canned tuna, japanese mayo, avocado, nori sheets, boiled white riced with sushi seasoning, makes a great tuna mayo bowl. You can also add in more veggies like sweet corn, edamame, lettuce, pickled radish, or more sauces like soy sauce, sriracha/gochujang, more protein like tofu or egg omelet. You could also make it into sushi, kimbap or onigiri
