Costco Has a New Hot Dog—and Fans Say It Tastes Like It Came From a ‘Good Butcher’

Summer is here, and that means it’s hot dog season. There have been so many new, exciting excuses to fire up the grill, from Walmart’s exclusive Applegate Naturals hot dog to the Kayem Cannon Fire Hot Dogs in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.

Ball Park released bun-sized Jalapeño Beef Franks Hot Dogs with just the right amount of heat. Nathan’s Famous came out with a delicious 100 Percent Grass-Fed Beef Franks. And even Spam debuted an all-new Spam Dog. 

We already know Costco’s food court has legendary dogs, but the warehouse is also stocked with tons of franks to help make your backyard cookouts top-tier. And now, Costco has a new variety that’s already winning shoppers over.

True Story Organic Grass-Fed Uncured Beef Hot Dogs have just landed at Costco, and these dogs are already wowing customers. They’re sugar-free, gluten-free, and made with no artificial ingredients, but what sets them apart from other hot dog brands is that the beef is humanely raised.

On another Instagram post in partnership with True Story, @costcofam4u shared a video of the new hot dogs, and several Costco shoppers chimed in to praise the product. “They’re really good! Taste like a good butcher hot dog,” someone shared.

“So good,” another declared. “Might be the best hot dog I’ve ever had, not even exaggerating.”
