Lelit just announced their Elizabeth V3! IMO the machine is finally not ugly, but somehow I feel like they will increase the price too much just like they did on Mara X3, to the point where it’s no longer good value for money compared to the rest of the market, or their flagship Bianca model.

Any news on when it will release or when they may give extra info? I’m currently looking for a new machine to replace my Bambino, but would prefer something decent with at least a sensor for water hardness. We’ve got hard water and really need something that triggers the descale sensor in time. Now I’m just guessing with the Bambino about once every 3-4 months.
I was thinking of getting a Bianca but might just get this if it’s cheaper

Hoping here they update the Anna with a 58mm group instead of 57mm in the near future.
I wonder if they finally updated their abysmal water tank design, but I kind of doubt it. Having had a Kate before, and now a Sage DB… it’s a difference as day and night. It’s clear Sage actually employed engineers not stuck in the 80s and with UX in mind.
Looks like they took some notes from the Profitec Move. Even the LCD looks exactly the same.

To be honest, I was really stuck between an Elizabeth and a Mara X. Elizabeth was lacking flow control. But I was turned off by mixed opinions about the Mara X’s temperature stability. So I thought: If I don’t want to have any regrets (and we all know how easy that is in the espresso game…), I should get a Bianca…
Now, with an Elizabeth with Pagaia, I’m not sure that’s still what I would have done. But let’s see what the price is gonna be. The price for the Mara X v3 is just ridiculous right now… like you could pay 200€ more and get a Bianca (in Germany).
