The most consistent snack routine I’ve ever lived by was a soft pretzel after school. For years, they were a staple in the freezer: Ready in minutes, warm, fluffy, and satisfying every single day. Those signature SuperPretzels—heated up in the microwave and sprinkled with the little packet of rock salt—were my childhood.
But as I’ve grown up, so has SuperPretzel. The pretzels that once went straight into the microwave are now headed for my trusty air fryer, and the brand behind them has expanded far beyond the classic twisted pretzel. Still, every new launch seems to be rooted in that same warm, carb-forward comfort that made me love them in the first place—which is exactly why its latest release immediately caught my eye.
SuperPretzel Launches New Filled Pretzel Bites
If you haven’t paid much attention to SuperPretzel lately, you might be surprised by how much the freezer-aisle favorite has been up to.
After more than 50 years on shelves, the brand introduced an updated recipe last year with a softer, smoother texture. Then came a protein-packed pretzel for snackers looking to squeeze in some extra protein (which was even named a PEOPLE Food Awards 2026 winner). And most recently, the brand released a limited-edition Star-Shaped Soft Pretzel in celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
But it’s the brand’s latest launch that immediately grabbed my attention: stuffed PizzaStix and QuesoStix.
Think of them as a longer version of the brand’s pretzel bites, stuffed with melty cheese fillings. The PizzaStix are filled with cheese and pizza sauce, while the QuesoStix feature a cheese blend with a spicy kick. They’re fully baked and can be heated in the oven or air fryer until warm, melty, and golden.
They’re like the soft pretzel’s take on a pizza roll and mozzarella stick—and yes, I firmly believe a dipping sauce is mandatory.
Plenty of other longtime fans seem just as excited about the launch online. One commenter wrote, “I grew up on SuperPretzel. It’s about time for a variety of cheesy goodness!” Another simply declared, “I WANT PIZZASTIX.”
The new snacks have already been spotted in Food Lion freezer aisles, and the brand says they’re also available at select Harris Teeter and Schnucks locations, as well as Woodman’s, Ingles, and Joe V’s stores in select states.
So if you’re a fellow soft pretzel enthusiast, I’ll see you in the freezer aisle soon.
