Everybody knows a fish fry, but this Crispy Buttermilk Fried Shrimp recipe might make you want to start throwing shrimp fries. I used jumbo Gulf shrimp, butterflied them, gave them a quick buttermilk marinade, then fried them until golden and crispy. The goal was simple: fried shrimp with a crunchy outside, juicy middle, and a process easy enough for anybody to follow at home.

  1. Dude you might want to at least filter clean your cooking oil
    Or
Is it just the glare of your lights

  2. It didn't sound extra crispy idk if you need a btter mic but I honestly didn't hear anything special. The shrimp looks good though.

  3. People are sleeping on buttermilk as a marinade. It takes away the fishy taste of stronger tasting fish and it tenderizes meats like pork and chicken. Personally, I think 20 minutes is not enough time, but an hour is more like it.
