Catullo’s Italian in Nocatee.
Nocatee now knows what will replace Catullo’s Italian.
The departing restaurant announced on Instagram that Riviera 89, a rustic Italian concept from two French restaurateurs, is expected to take over the space after Catullo’s closes this month.
The venture will be led by Emeric and Anthony, who Catullo’s said have owned and operated successful restaurants back in their native land.
“New concept is Riviera 89, a rustic Italian concept by 2 Frenchmen, Emeric and Anthony,” Catullo’s posted. “They have owned and operated successful restaurants in France and look forward to bringing their hospitality and cuisine to the Nocatee community.”
Catullo’s previously announced that its final day of operation in Nocatee is expected to be June 25.
The restaurant has been one of Nocatee’s more closely watched dining spots, often drawing loyal customers and lines outside its doors.
News of the closure prompted a wave of disappointed comments from regulars, many of whom described Catullo’s as one of their favorite restaurants in the community.

Additional details about Riviera 89’s menu, opening timeline and ownership group have not yet been released.
Catullo’s said its San Pablo location will remain open.
