Really bad. I had better Peruvian food at multiple non starred/non guide joints across multiple cities. How this place has two stars blows my mind.

Service and NA pairing was the only good part of my meal. Each dish was explained well and presentation was very creative but the flavors were non existent. Every dish screamed seasoning.

It didnt taste like Peruvian cuisine nor Japanese nor any other SA cuisine. I really dont get the hype for this place.

1- amuse bouch- forgot to note the four plates but it was alright.

2- crab flan – very very salty

3- scallop dish was overly sour to the point it was almost unedible.

4- venison salad – best course of the night. Only dish i thought was even remotely tasty.

5- white fish course nothing to note. Same execution you would get at any restaurant just presented well.

Not pictured – another fish course with ink sauce.

6- wagyu beef and potatoes – the sauce was disgusting. Tasted like store bought Montanas bbq sauce.

Deserts- these were all delicious but you cannot rate a restaurant based on deserts alone.

I don't know how it was under Santiago but its not worth a visit unless you exhauated all fine dining restaurants in Tokyo or never had any Peruvian, Mexican or SA food before. If you have you will be sorely disappointed.

I hope I just visited on an off night because wow, how disappointing after all the hype.

  1. Ah that’s a shame. I went in February under Santiago and really loved the cooking and overall experience
