Moppu is a late-game character that you can meet after discovering Snow Village through “Mind the Gap,” and whom you can meet officially by completing Badtz-maru’s Friendship Quest, “Snow Day.” Raise Moppu’s Friendship Level, and by Level 7, you can unlock the Vending Machine in his Friendship Quest, “Snacks’n’Sweets.”
All Vending Machine Recipes
Luckily, you won’t need coins or money to exchange items at this Vending Machine; instead, what you’ll exchange are ingredients. The base ingredient for every treat at the Vending Machine will be Chips, Moppu’s Daily Gift. By giving presents to Moppu each day, you’ll be rewarded with Chips in return. Using Chips and other ingredients you find around Friendship Island will grant you all types of snacks and beverages from the Vending Machine!

How to Unlock the Vending Machine Upgrade
Unlike some of the other upgrades, the Vending Machine upgrade won’t come with any fanfare or special quest with Moppu. Instead, you simply need to get Moppu’s Friendship Level up to Level 16. Once you get past a certain threshold, you’ll find that the starter gift for Moppu, the Brrr Bear Blast, doesn’t earn you quite as much affection from Moppu.
The best gift going forward will be the GameBear, which unlocks at Level 13. This is Moppu’s best gift in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, earning him a total of Three Hearts. The recipe is fairly simple, only requiring a little bit of farming for Frost. Frost is a material you gain when you manage to hit the targets with snowballs around Snow Village. Using Moppu’s Companion Ability that unlocks during “Aim for Fun”, you can easily gain approximately 40 Frost every other day. GameBear Recipe: 2x Chips, 2x Frost, 3x Glitches, and 1x Mechanism
The GameBear is a forgiving recipe as a Three-Heart Gift. Chips can be obtained from Moppu as his Daily Gift, just as Glitches can be obtained from TOPHAT and Gizmos can be obtained from Chococat. Using the Crafting Table, you’ll need to use the Gizmos and turn them into Mechanisms, then follow the recipe above to make Gamebears.
If you have Hello Kitty at a high Friendship Level, request her to be your Companion whenever you head out to visit Moppu. Hello Kitty helps boost the affection you get when giving items to other characters. This can help you boost Moppu’s Friendship Levels to help you get to Level 16. Once the Vending Machine upgrade is unlocked by hitting that level, you’ll be able to see a third ingredient slot when interacting with the Vending Machine from now on.
