Taking up the space that used to house Jersey Kebab, Kebap Ora in Haddon Township offers a delicious selection of Mediterranean and Balkan Cuisine. The Jersey Diner crew was definitely excited to dig into this week’s dinner!
Before we begin, the crew would like to add that this restaurant has a small, clean and friendly area for those wishing to dine in. The staff were also very kind, making sure to pack our hot and cold foods separately and taking a moment to explain to us what items went together.
Hungry yet? We started with the mixed cold appetizer, which includes hummus, eggplant salad, cooked sweet red peppers and a mixed cucumber salad. The crew enjoyed how nicely this appetizer was plated and how fresh everything tasted. The peppers, hummus and both salads went great as toppings for the rest of our meal or enjoyed individually with the provided pitas.
If you like a classic gyro, Kebap Ora’s Doner kebab is what you are looking for. He felt there was plenty of tender meat in this dish, and appreciated that they were generous with their side of tzatziki style sauce which they call cacik. This wrap comes with fries, which were crispy and perfect for dipping.
The lamb sish kebab was equally good. We felt the chunks of lamb were correctly cooked and liked the bed of buttery rice included. We recommend topping this with any of the provided sauces or spreads to add extra flavor!
