Dogs and fries aren’t an uncommon pair (theme parks, fast food, the fair, etc.) so honestly, this one doesn’t bother me — I might even eat that (at least with a modification or two, namely, a better cheese.)

We have a dish here called sizzling hotdog. A basic version is basically sauteed garlic and onions then add hotdogs. Then add banana ketchup.
It’s quite good paired with rice.
Of course, you shouldn’t use too much oil. Just enough that the ingredients don’t stick to pan.
