A coq au vin pie, a French onion soup pastry and a St Honoré choux. Oui, oui, oui.
Roll out the red, white and (Baker) Bleu flag. For Broadsheet’s second Dine Out festival, the beloved bakery has teamed up with chef Guillaume Brahimi to create three lovely French specials.
There’s a coq au vin pie filled with chicken, red wine, mushrooms and bacon, and topped with rich Paris mash. A savoury French onion pastry is a clever nod to the classic soup.
And on the sweet side, Sa t Honoré choux pastry bun filled with crème diplomate (a mixture of Chantilly cream and crème pâtissière) drizzled with golden caramel.
The three specials are available for the duration of the festival at Baker Bleu stores in Cremorne, Caulfield North, Hawksburn and South Yarra.
