I am so happy these dollar tree seeds worked wonderfully!! I'm debating if I should let my toddler eat this one with lime and salt or if I should try to pickle it😁

My experience has been that big cucumbers like that don’t pickle well.

Eat it! Wait til you have a big batch of smaller ones to pickle. Congrats also, growing your own food is the best feeling

Great job! Next time pick it sooner it will have smaller seeds and taste better.

This one is a bit too late. It’s still edible, but the seeds will be tough. I’d remove them. That cuke in the background will be ready in 2-3 days.

  5. That’s not a pickling cucumber, it won’t well.
Just chop it up and eat it fresh.

That’s the same size as my…

    …cucmbers.

A cucumber that size would make a delicious cucumber and tomato salad.

  8. You could make a sliced fridge pickle such as bread and butter pickles but it would be a bit seedy.
