Prague’s Kampa Island will once again be transformed into a little piece of France this July. The French Market will once again focus on culinary specialities, carefully selected wines and a varied cultural programme.
From 14 to 19 July 2026, the French Market will return to Prague’s Kampa. The event is being held for the 19th time and has become one of the capital’s popular summer attractions.
Visitors can look forward to French classics including freshly baked croissants, regional cheeses, oysters, Burgundy snails, frog’s legs, cured ham and sausage specialities, as well as duck delicacies. Pâtés, fine pastries and a range of other regional products from across France will also be available.

The market will also feature a wide selection of white, rosé, red and sparkling wines from renowned French wine regions including Alsace, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne and the Loire Valley. The selection will be complemented by wines made from lesser-known indigenous grape varieties.

A particular highlight this year is the international programme. Among the guests will be a finalist from the World Oyster Opening Championship. The official opening on 14 July will also feature a performance by the 57 musicians of L’Harmonie de Bourges. Later in the week, Paul d’Amour will take to the stage, familiar to some visitors from Les Garçons Trottoirs.
Alongside the culinary offering, a musical programme will provide a distinctly French atmosphere on Kampa. Families will also be well catered for, with a dedicated programme for children.

This year’s motto, “Voilà Kampa!”, reflects the lively atmosphere of the market. The festival will be open daily from 10 am to 9 pm.
