The largest conveyor belt sushi chain in the country is expanding in Central Texas. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is preparing to welcome its newest South Austin restaurant.

Kura’s Sunset Valley location at 5601 Brodie Lane, Suite 1400 will have its grand opening celebration on Friday, July 10, according to a news release. This new Kura will mark its third outpost in the greater Austin-area, and the Japanese sushi chain’s 17th location in Texas.

The chain held a soft opening for its new Sunset Valley location on June 23. To celebrate its grand opening on July 10, all sushi plates will be priced at $3.70 and the first 150 seated guests will receive a commemorative T-shirt.

Kura Sushi Rewards members who check in and dine between Friday, July 10 and Sunday, July 12 will also be entered to win a “Kura Sushi for a Year” gift card. The restaurant will select five winners for the prize.

Founded as a subsidiary of a renowned Japanese sushi chain in 2008, Kura Sushi USA, Inc. has become the nation’s largest brand of revolving sushi restaurants with more than 90 locations across the country. The chain uses technology to provide an authentic Japanese dining experience where guests can order sushi, sashimi, tempura, noodles, desserts, sake, beer and more directly to their tables on a conveyor belt.

Reservations can be made up to one week in advance through the Kura Sushi Rewards app and online at the Kura Sushi Sunset Valley website. Once open, Kura’s restaurant hours will be Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
