Clubs are having a serious moment right now. From run clubs and supper clubs to book clubs, there seems to be a community for just about every interest. But allow me to introduce you to my personal favourite: wine clubs.

While they’re certainly nothing new, wine clubs come in far more forms than you might expect. Some are hosted by restaurants, pairing exceptional wines with thoughtfully curated tasting menus. Others are social gatherings designed to bring like-minded people together, while some blend a love of literature with a great bottle of wine. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, support your local community, or simply find a new date-night idea for a partner or close friend, there’s a wine club to suit.

So, if you’re in the mood to do a little clubbing of a different kind, here are some of my favourite wine clubs from around Australia.

NSW
Olympus Wine Club

Location: Surry Hills, Sydney

One of Sydney’s finest restaurants Olympus is starting their own wine club. Only just launching their first edition their wine clubs start at $235 per person. What that will include is a night of stories that celebrate the producers and wines of Greece, all while dining on a communal table paired with a curated banquet. Being their first edition, it is unknown yet how often they will occur.

Il Maccheron Wine Club

Location: Woollahra, Sydney

Personally, one of my favourite Italians. When I heard they do a wine cub, it ranked them even higher on my list. Occurring every Sunday for lunch time, their Sunday Wine Down club is built around having a great wine and even better company. Only at $50 per person, you will receive a curated flight of five wines from light to bold. Leaving it in their hands or let the sommelier know your mood.

Sorry I’m Bookd Club

Location: Sydney

A book club mixed with a wine club – it doesn’t get better then that. Started up by Ash and Jules who were ex-colleagues, they started their social club as an idea to read more. It occurs monthly at $20 per person, where every month they meet in a new location around Sydney and discuss the book over a glass (or a few) of wine.

Victoria
HER Travels

Location: Melbourne

HER Travels organises more then just wine clubs, but they do travel clubs too. Their next wine club coming up is pottery and sip, where it’s all about making friends, crafting, and sipping on good one. Depending on each club, the prices varies, for their pottery and sip club, it’s $75 per person.

Spilt Wine Book Club

Location: Melbourne

Another fantastic book and wine club in Melbourne. Running some nights separately, and some together, their next Club Vino night will be at Glovers trying six cool climate wines from Harbinger wines. At $54.26 per person to join their event, andf only fifteen tickets available – it’s the perfect intimate event for wine and book lovers.

Queensland
Fish Lane Wine Club

Location: La Lune, South Brisbane

Wine Club Wednesday’s are happening at Fish Lane every fortnight. All under the guidance of wine bar La Lune’s in-house experts, you can expect to taste an array of wines at just $35 per person.

Wineology Wine Club

Location: Brisbane city

Charcuterie and cheese platters are provided while you peruse their unique wines on tap, mingle, and enjoy a beautiful afternoon together.

In a collaboration with HER Wine and Food Club, Wineology is a wine bar in Brisbane that has started social wine clubs. Cheese plates will be provided while you sip on wine, socialise and enjoy a lovely afternoon all at $30 per person. Being their first wine club night, we hope more will come.

SA
Uni Adelaide Wine Club

Location: Adelaide University

If you’re from Adelaide, specifically Adelaide University, your uni is pretty cool, because you guys have your own wine club. Student run, you can join to be a member which allows further discounts off events, or just purchase one off tickets to their wine events. A social, fun and of course wine driven club, tickets vary in price but average around $30 per person or $15 if you’re a member.

WA
The Late Night Library

Location: Perth

A monthly book club that meet up at wine bars across Perth. Only a new club started up earlier in 2026, The Late Night Library is for all wine and book lovers, that also love to meet new friends. Only $30 per person, it sounds like the perfect wine club to join, and way to spend your Thursday nights.
