Alexandria, VA – Floriana is coming to Alexandria at 277 S. Washington St. With two other restaurants in Washington D.C. and North Carolina, Floriana is planning to open their Italian restaurant by the end of July in the Atrium. The restaurant is known for its handmade pasta, steaks, and chops. Per their team, “At Floriana, high-quality ingredients and careful craftsmanship are the stars of each plate. We know that each detail matters; that’s why our pasta is made fresh daily, from scratch and by hand.”
Customers will be able to enjoy celebrated dishes such as Northern style lasagna layered with fresh ground beef, béchamel sauce, and house-made mozzarella; fresh crusty bread paired with walnut pesto; crispy fried calamari with a chunky tomato dipping sauce; and a pan-seared chicken paired with cannellini beans, escarole, and a rich chicken jus. Pescatarians will enjoy the seared Branzino served with sunchoke, olive tapenade, and cherry tomatoes. Brunch dishes include Uovo Purgatorio, Banana Foster French Toast, benedicts, and biscuits. Consider bar offerings such as a well-curated wine list served by the glass or bottle, and signature cocktails.
Unlike their other locations, the Atrium location will be open all day for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner.
