Noci Battersea serves modern Italian food in a relaxed setting, with a menu that focuses on quality ingredients and uncomplicated cooking.

From fresh starters to flavour-packed pasta and an outstanding steak, every dish felt carefully prepared.

We started with the Nocellara olives, which were plump, buttery and full of flavour.

They were a simple but satisfying way to begin the meal.

Next came the bruschetta, topped with Isle of Wight tomatoes, roasted garlic and basil on toasted focaccia.

The tomatoes were sweet and fresh, while the roasted garlic added depth without overpowering the dish.

It was light and colourful and let the ingredients do the talking.

The beef carpaccio offered something a little richer.

Thin slices of rare-seared beef were served with broad beans, peas, lemon and pecorino.

The lemon cut through the richness of the meat, while the vegetables added freshness and texture, making for a well-balanced starter.

For the main course, we chose the king prawn linguine.

The pasta was cooked well and coated in a light sauce made with datterini tomatoes, white wine, parsley and Aleppo chilli.

The prawns were tender and the chilli brought a gentle warmth that lifted the dish without becoming too spicy.

The real highlight of the meal was the tagliata.

The dry-aged 10oz sirloin was cooked exactly as requested, with a crisp, well-seared outside and a tender, juicy centre.

It was served with rocket, Parmesan and a roasted pepper sauce that complemented the beef rather than masking its flavour.

It is one of the best steaks I have eaten in London so far.

Alongside the steak came the triple-cooked chips, which were crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy in the middle.

They were well seasoned and made an excellent accompaniment.

To finish, we shared the tiramisu. It was light, creamy and well balanced, with delicate layers of coffee-soaked sponge and mascarpone. It provided a classic ending to the meal without feeling too heavy.

Throughout the meal, the focus was on good ingredients prepared with care. The dishes were full of flavour without being overly complicated, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed.

If you are looking for fresh Italian food, well-made pasta and an excellent steak, Noci Battersea is well worth adding to your list.
