The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill to open in Tomball area
According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill has plans to open a new location in the Tomball area. Construction for the new location started in June and will be completed by November, per the listing. The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill offers several authentic Mediterranean dishes, including appetizers such as tzatziki and hummus. The eatery also offers gyros, falafel, burgers and wraps.

Cookie shop franchise Half Baked Goodness held a grand opening celebration for a new location in Cypress on July 11, per a social media announcement.
According to the menu, Half Baked Goodness serves weekly specialty flavored cookies alongside regular flavors, including chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and more. Its cookies are available in gluten-free, keto and paleo diet-friendly options. Per the social media announcement, the new location will serve dirty sodas alongside bakery items.

A Jamaican-based chain restaurant will open its first Houston location. Juici Patties will open a location in Montrose. The restaurant began in 1978 in May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica, when 16-year-old Jukie Chin began making patties in his mother’s kitchen and selling them at a shop located in front of their family’s home. By 1980, the family officially opened its first storefront, calling it Juici Patties.

Pearl’s BBQ opened July 11 in Friendswood, inside Super Ranchero Supermarket, a representative from the restaurant said. Named in honor of the founder’s mother, Pearl’s BBQ is a family-owned restaurant with more than 15 years of barbecue experience, specializing in slow-smoked barbecue prepared with pecan wood, featuring favorites such as brisket, ribs, sausage and seasonal desserts.
In addition to dine-in, the restaurant provides professional catering services with a mobile barbecue unit available for events.

Rise & Grind Coffee Co. is set to open in mid-July at The Food Zone in Porter, owner Roxanna Paz confirmed via email July 13.
Per the Rise & Grind Facebook page, beverages will range from $4.50-$6.50, with menu items including flavored iced lattes—such as the Cookie Butter Latte and the French Toast Chai—as well as lemonade and hot chocolate. Drinks can be customized with a variety of milk and flavor options, as well as add-ons.

Molina’s Cantina, a third-generation legacy that started in 1941 by Raul and Mary Molina, has served the Houston area for 85 years and is now carried on by their grandsons Raul III, Ricardo and Roberto Molina.
Ricardo Molina said that as the years go by, he has grown up with the eateries’ staff and served generations of customers. Through the years, while the restaurant industry has evolved, what remains the same is the consistency in its scratch-made Tex-Mex and the warmth of its hospitality.
