I’m curious to know your opinion about hot ones products. Saw some yesterday at Quebec City and wanted to know more.

Anyone got a review for Tropical Amarillo
Knife_Operator
Every single Hot Ones sauce I’ve tried has been mid. I haven’t tried any of the superhots because they’re all like $25, but none of the affordable ones have been particularly worth it.
EDIT: holy shit, I just zoomed in on the prices and they even have all the standard ones at $20+. Don’t buy any of these, OP.

I cannot afford/justify that stuff.

This might be a hot take (zing), but I have not loved a single Hot Ones sauce that I have tried. The pickled garlic sriracha has languished in my fridge because no one likes it in my household. The los calientes were just OK. The Classics are boring as hell. The superhots are probably their best contribution to the world of hot sauce, and they get the job done when you want something to completely blow the roof off the place, but there are other sauces that are very very hot but with way better flavor.

Tropical Amarillo is delicious
Edit: OP, that’s close to $15USD. That’s really expensive.

the tropical one and the Xperience ones are the ones i like from that lineup.

$21 CAD is what, like $15 USD for a bottle of hot sauce? Pass. Those are way overpriced, and shouldn’t be hard to find anywhere else if you want to try them. They are $8.50 USD at my local grocery store.

Both Los Calientes and the Tropical Amarillo. I know I like one of the last dab ones but I’ve done so many lineups at this point I have no idea which one it was.

Xperience and Apollo are both seriously hot, while also having good flavor. I haven’t tried all of them, but I have tried and recommend each of those.

$10-$12 USD max for me. Although, I am curious as to what is reccomended.

Way to expensive, fellow CAD hot sauce buyer. Look up lady killers hot sauce for some local Quebec sauces, highly recommend the jerk sauce.

24$!!! Fuuuuuuck that!

Los Cal Verde is one of the best sauces I’ve ever tried. I’ve gone through five or six bottles of it.
I get why people are suspicious of the ‘Hot Ones’ brand.. but I don’t know what to tell you.. it’s unique and delicious.
Similar to others, I also really enjoyed Tropical Amarillo. A solid Bajamanian curry/mustard sauce. Though, it lives up to some of the other Baja mustard sauces I’ve had (Cheeba Gold, Pirate’s Lantern, Double Take, etc), it doesn’t necessarily eclipse them. If you’ve never had one, Amarillo is a great introduction.. but it’s not a ‘1 of 1’ like Los Cal Verde is.

I’ve tried most of these. I bought a bunch of Buffalo for $5 US on sale. Delicious on Chicken. I’m having it for dinner tonight. Classic Garlic Fresno is my favorite of these I think. Calientes Verde is delicious. Tropical Amarillo is hot but not overpowering. I rarely have to pay $10 US for any of these. I have no desire to try Da Bomb or any of the Last Dabs.

The pickled Sriracha is top tier if you use it on fried chicken.

Verde is the best!!

I buy the Rojo, Verde, and Amarillo all the time, but wouldn’t pay more than $7 for those. They’re all really good, but not very spicy so you will go through them really quickly. My daughter is 9 and she loves the Rojo on her tacos or burgers to give you an idea of the heat.
The Last Dabs will give some heat, but they don’t sell them at my grocery store.

Classic garlic, classic maple, xxx

On something like chicken or in a burger The Last Dab Xperience is nice, but first time I had it I was drunk and thought I could have a spoonful to taste it, I don’t recommend doing that. I love really hot chilli sauce but that was a stupid idea 😂

Da Bomb. It is as such a delicate, nuanced flavor.

its not there. classic: pepper x edition

Most of them are decent but only if you can find them for around $5 US. They are certainly not worth those prices
