The western stretch of Howard Avenue has gotten a fresh infusion of high-Italian dining.
At the corner of Howard and Benachi in Biloxi is the just-opened two-in-one Eataliano restaurant. An all-day Italian diner and morning time coffee shop, Eataliano brings an authentic menu enjoyed in a cozy, quiet atmosphere.
The restaurant has a lunch menu that features various pasta and spaghetti dishes. The dinner menu has veal, chicken and seafood entrees, as well as house specialties lasagna alla bolognese, eggplant parmesan, manicotti and cheese ravioli.
And, of course, there’s a deep pasta menu ranging from penne primavera to tortellini rosa and fettuccine alfredo.
But Eataliano also hopes to be your go-to in the mornings with a coffee shop menu that’s available from the restuarant’s 6:30 a.m. opening to 11 a.m.
Lavazza coffee drinks, pastries and various sandwiches are served during this window.

Our firsthand experience featured the stuffed mushroom antipasta dish. The plate comes awash with a shallow sea of garlic cream and spinach with four mushrooms placed and packed with crab meat.
Like many Italian dishes, this creates a level of flavors that begin with the sauce, followed by the earthy bite of mushroom and finished with the familiar fresh taste of crab.
The seafood ravioli has a similar ensemble. The base remains the creamy spinach basin, only pocked by islands of red peppers.
The ravioli comes in four and is stuffed full, with both crab and lobster.
The cream and dumplings pair nicely and the seafood medley ties you to the waters just a quarter mile to the south.
Altogether it’s a pleasant meal. The caveat comes if you come concerned about value. Eataliano very much prices in experience and quality. The four stuffed mushrooms, four raviolis and a to-go slice of limoncello cake comes in close to $60 before tax and tip.
The trade-off is attentive service and a thoughtfully crafted meal. Eataliano creates a dual-purpose atmosphere and delivers on it with an enjoyable meal at any time of day.
