ALY’S BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Indaco, an Italian restaurant with locations in popular spots around the country, has now arrived on the Emerald Coast with a new opening in Aly’s Beach.
General Manager Elizabeth Mathis says the team has been planning the concept for the area for a while, aiming to bring “Italian warmth and hospitality” to the 30A community.
The restaurant opened earlier this month near its sister restaurant, O-Ku.
Indaco’s menu leans into fresh seafood and wood-fired pizza, with a kitchen that also highlights local connections.
Executive Chef Dakota Watson says the wood for the oven is sourced from a farm in southern Alabama, with oak, hickory, and cherry that’s kiln-dried and delivered.
The seafood is brought in from Apalachicola, and Mathis says even the honey has close-to-home roots, coming from Bristol, Florida and bottled in Blountstown.
“To be able to really share our space and our passion for what we’re doing with the Aly’s Beach community, they have really, really taken us in, and they love what we’re doing,” Mathis says.
