BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Notini’s Italian Restaurant will close permanently on September 25, 2026, after more than four decades of serving scratch-made Italian cuisine, marking the end of an era for the family-owned Airline Drive establishment.
Owners Tim Huck and Grayson Bailey announced the closure of the restaurant at 2013 Airline Drive in a statement, expressing gratitude to generations of guests who celebrated milestones and weekly dinners at the establishment since its founding in June 1981.
In the announcement post, the owners touched on the initial opening of the restaurant, saying,
Our story began in June of 1981 when Jerry Kolniak, alongside his brother Ronnie and their father Stanley, opened Notini’s in honor of Jerry’s grandfather, Antonio Notini. Antonio immigrated from Barga, Italy in 1909 and spent his life working in the restaurant business, inspiring a tradition of hospitality, hard work, and family that became the foundation of everything Notini’s has stood for.

In November 2019, Huck and Bailey purchased the restaurant. Since then, the owners have honored the dedication and passion poured into the restaurant, keeping traditions alive.
“To every guest who celebrated a birthday, anniversary, graduation, family dinner, or simply made us part of your weekly routine—thank you,” the owners said. “Your loyalty, kindness, and support have meant more than words can express.”
The owners invited patrons to visit one final time before the closure and hinted at future plans, stating this represents “the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another.”
