As a flat enthusiast I have come to appreciate drum-enjoyers because it means we can usually trade to get exactly what we want without risking an upcharge.
Why not both
Flats are better.
Whole wing – rip off the tip to gnaw on first, rip the flat from the drum like a Neanderthal, eat said flat, then the drum with the hope of a bonus meaty crunchy at the top

This is a fake controversy set up by big chicken to divide us.
A “wing” is both the drum and the flat. Lately, they started cutting one wing in half and counting each as one. Its a scam really and the flats vs drums thing jist divides our attention that we are getting ripped off.
Both are great, I usually take the drum so the wife can have the flats, get to have wings way more often, so….. I win?
