Ingredients
Marinade:
400–500g chicken tenders (8–10)
¾ cup (180ml) buttermilk
3–4 tbsp hot sauce
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
¼ tsp paprika
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Salt to taste
Dry Coating:
1½ cups all-purpose flour
4 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp chili powder
Salt & black pepper to taste
½ tsp cayenne pepper
Hot Honey Sauce:
5–6 tbsp butter
½ cup honey
2–3 tbsp hot sauce
½ tsp chili paste (optional)
For Frying:
Cooking oil
Creamy Ranch Dip:
Sour cream – 3 tbsp
Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
Ketchup – 2 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Smoked paprika – ½ tsp
Black pepper – ½ tsp
Garlic powder – 1 tsp
Buttermilk – 4 tbsp
Parsley – 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Dill – 1 tsp
Salt – to taste
Method:
Marinate chicken for 1 hour or overnight.
Mix coating ingredients and coat chicken.
Deep fry until golden and crispy.
In a pan, melt butter. Add honey, hot sauce, and chili paste
Toss fried tenders in the sauce until coated.
For creamy ranch dip:
In a bowl mix all ingredients together.
Serve hot honey chicken tenders with creamy ranch dip.
