July 31, 2026 (Newberg, OR) — Nicolas-Jay, an Oregon wine partnership between Jean-Nicolas Méo of Burgundy’s Méo-Camuzet and visionary music entrepreneur Jay Boberg, announces a new California distribution partnership with Springboard Wine & Spirits Company. The partnership begins on August 1, 2026.

Founded in 2011, Nicolas-Jay was born from a shared vision between two longtime friends to craft world-class Oregon Pinot Noir and Chardonnay by combining the traditions of Burgundy with the terroir of the Willamette Valley. Today, the winery farms estate vineyards in Oregon’s Dundee Hills and Yamhill-Carlton, and has earned international recognition for producing elegant, site-driven wines that reflect both Burgundian sensibility and the distinct character of Oregon.
Springboard Wine Company will represent the Nicolas-Jay portfolio throughout California. Founded and co-owned by sisters Sybil Ajay Sanford and Elizabeth Corsini in 2006, Springboard has become one of California’s most respected fine wine sales organizations. Its 26-member sales team represents a curated portfolio of domestic and international producers, earning a reputation for exceptional market knowledge, strong customer relationships, and passionate brand stewardship.
“For Springboard, Nicolas-Jay perfectly encapsulates the type of suppliers we love to represent. Authenticity is a through line from vines in the ground to ownership and winemaking, and they are clearly uncompromising in their commitment and love of the place they farm. That commitment shows in every bottle,” shared Elizabeth Corsini, Owner and Sales Manager of Springboard Wine & Spirits Company. “We feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share their exceptional work across the state of California.”
The transition follows a successful decade of representation by Sara Beer and the team at True North Wine, who helped establish Nicolas-Jay throughout the California market.
Nicolas-Jay Co-Founder Jay Boberg stated, “When we asked wine buyers in California which distributor is the right fit for Nicolas-Jay, time and again the answer came back to Springboard. Knowledge and passion along with ease to work with were the characteristics we always look for, and Sybil and Elizabeth have built a culture that reflects those attributes. Jean-Nicolas Méo and I thank Sara Beer at True North for her decade of hard work and success in building Nicolas-Jay across California.”
ABOUT NICOLAS-JAY
Nicolas-Jay is a winery born from the longtime friendship of Jean-Nicolas Méo of the famed Domaine Méo-Camuzet, and visionary music entrepreneur Jay Boberg. Nicolas-Jay’s regional cuvées are a thoughtful collection of premium sustainably farmed vineyards, and the winery has four single vineyard designate bottlings: Bishop Creek, Nysa, Temperance Hill, and Momtazi. Chardonnay was added to Nicolas-Jay’s offerings in 2017, both an estate bottling and a regional cuvée, Affinités. With the 2021 vintage, a new single vineyard designate from Spirit Hill Vineyard joined the collection of fine Willamette Valley Chardonnay from the winery. In 2019, Méo and Boberg purchased a 53-acre site in the Dundee Hills AVA, a location with some of the deepest Jory soils in the region, and began converting the existing barn to a winery and tasting room. Nicolas-Jay planted its first vines on the estate vineyard and launched the new tasting room in 2021. Nicolas-Jay wines are distributed nationally and available in overseas markets like Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. For more information, please visit nicolas-jay.com.
