Still looks pretty great for all you can eat. But agree, I find it incredibly off putting when AYCE places include sashimi as an option but then act like a Scrooge when you want to eat all you can eat
I think it’s fine as long as they let you keep ordering. I actually think it’s a great idea, as it helps mitigate food waste.
Do you wonder if your additional salmon orders turn into steelhead trout?
I think that’s what’s happening at an AYCE sushi bar I use to go to. Additional salmon orders were slightly lighter in color & flavor.
Name and shame the establishment
Order big every time and no issues. Also seat at the counter next time. Wish there was ayce sashimi near me

Lol yeah my wife orders 15 tuna sashimi at our ayce place for her first round because anything past 5 they give you like 1×2 squares of it.
I think they just dont care if they give you a small piece since you arent paying by the piece. It makes total sense for them to give you whatever is leftover at the end of a saku
I don’t enjoy AYCE for this reason. The economics only work if they somehow trick you. I’d rather pay a flat fee and get exactly what was promised.
Doesn’t all you can eat place near me that if you order just to see me they start giving you worse and worse cuts. I insist on going somewhere else anytime someone mentions it.
