I'm a first timer and I have alot of different pepper plants. I really have to admit that I think I grew something I can't handle.

This is a TrinidadMorugaScorpion(Yellow) from an Italian breeder. Might've gotten the orange variety.

I've cut it open and touched it with the fork and tipped the fork on my tongue. That's when i realised this is too much for me 😳 way to much. As i write, the heat didn't dissapear yet šŸ˜…

But it is a really pretty looking pepper and one of the reasons I started growing chilis.

I like how the neon orange color says “I’m not spicy at all.”

Not the same level of pain but I have a similar relationship with my ghost peppers and find cooking with them to be a great experience. I have no idea how someone pops one in their mouth and eats them, but I just chopped one up in a food processor with a bunch of other stuff for jerk chicken and the results are going to be fabulous.

  3. I would happily accept this pain. Looks amazing šŸ‘

  4. Im over here wondering why the last pic isnt of your face 5 minutes after eating 1/4 of this specimen.

    #do it.

  5. Very pretty and most certainly intensely spicy. Scorpion peppers are my favorite delicious meany.

I have a theory: The more wrinkly a pepper is – the hotter it is. That one looks brutal! 😬 🄵

You need to try at least a bite…it’s the rule.

Last year I was a first time pepper grower and I picked up a TMS from my local greenhouse. Didn’t know what I was getting into and ended up with like 50 pods. I tried just the tail off the first one to ripen and I couldnt feel my lips for 15 minutes. Ended up making a salsa and taking it to work, and got to watch the pain in my (consenting) coworkers faces lol

I remember when I ate my first ghost pepper. I said I’ll never eat it again. Then I tried one more then I swore I would never eat another one again because my stomach was aching. Then I ate a bunch of food then tried again. I was able to handle it. Now they are ez to eat. It just takes time to get used to super hots.

Sounds like a perfect pepper for some like deep intense coconut curry mole sauce. Where you aren’t gonna get rid of the heat but make it more tolerable. Then you got the perfect like rice topping sauce. Just need to like then pick your prefered protein and boom you got a power dish.

That’ll keep you warm even on the coldest of days/mornings.
