Hiii. I'm a 22yo girl who's been eating plant-based since 16. Lately I've been having an issue with food. I'm just never hungry. I'm trying to lose weight but my daily kcal goal as you can see it's 1345kg (I'm using bitepal btw) and I hardly reach 700kcal in a day. Today I had a small meal and I'm not hungry at all to eat again… I'm also gaining weight and I don't know what to do. I've been eating small portions once or twice a day because I'm not hungry and in those small portions I always try to prioritise veggies and protein over carbs, but I just don't know what to do. I've used bitepal in the past and it helped me lose 3kg in two weeks but I was constantly hitting my kcal goal so that made sense. Question is, what do I do if I'm just not hungry?? It ever happen to you?
Not looking for definite answers, but just wondering if this is a normal thing for some people, specially women(?.
(About the app screenshot, today is an average day btw, 162kcal eaten currently at 19:28)

Smoke weed. Genuinely helps my appetite
You should have a conversation with a medical professional to rule out anything medical being behind this.
One thing might be that your stomach is used to small portions/very little food and needs to be”learn” to expand more so you feel hunger. The amount of calories you eat now is potentially harmful.
I have these kind of episodes where I’m struggling with not having an appetite. My solution is just snacking on nuts throughout the day to get some kcals.
But if this is a problem that continues for a longer time, maybe check with your doctor.
Are you active? When I was your age (🧓🏼), I had issues with remembering to stay active and issues with depression, which both affected my appetite. The more physically active you are, usually the hungrier you will feel. My partner struggles with food and he usually opts for smoothies over food bc they’re easier to have when he has no appetite, usually peanut butter, banana, strawberry, honey and chia seeds are his go-to ingredients.
Edit: didn’t feel the need to state it as it seemed fairly obvious, but don’t rule out going to a doctor, as others have said.
Please go see a doctor. Eating <700cals and gaining weight is not normal.
Doctor… but also? You don’t need an appetite to fuel yourself. ‘Ugh, I’m not hungry, but I want to not die’ is a good reason to consume something
Firstly, people who track calories regularly undercount the calories they actually eat – it’s easy to miss high-calorie snacks, condiments, etc.
Secondly, anywhere close to both your recorded and targeted calorie intake would be a starvation diet for even most small adults. 2,000 calories a day is the standard weight loss diet recommendation. Are you comfortable sharing your height and goal weight?
Either way, it’s a really good idea to bring this up with a doctor. It’s very easy to get nutrient deficient on such little food so bloodwork to rule out common deficiencies would be helpful and they could help you determine if there’s other issues like with your thyroid or something else.
Are you sure you’re counting correctly? I would have a hard time having a small meal be only 162 calories unless it was just like a pile of vegetables with nothing else. Idk this sounds very disordered and losing 3kg in 2w is not a good thing
