New Orleans chef releases cookbook celebrating New Orleans cuisine

A New Orleans chef debuted his cookbook celebrating New Orleans cuisine.

Chef Frank Brigtsen launched his new cookbook, “Color of Flavor,” on Saturday at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA).

The cookbook features recipes and stories from Brigtsen’s five decades in the kitchen, including signature dishes such as file gumbo, shrimp remoulade, roast duck, and his mother’s red beans and rice recipe.

Brigtsen also spent Saturday afternoon meeting with fans and signing copies of his book.
