Hey everyone! So I saw this AMAZING deal at the Hillsboro Costco in OR. $199.99 for the 925 size of the pressure canner! Just wanted to let anyone know who is in the market for one. I just picked one up yesterday & I am currently doing a test of the pressure system.

I haven’t pressure canned since I was a kid, so any tips would be appreciated, I read through the manual, watched some videos & I am being very careful. I really got this to can dry beans & chicken broth to start (canning the dry beans is just for convenience sake so I don’t have to soak any).

Oh damn, these are out of stock online and not available in store by me (CA). I’d probably grab two lol

The 921 and 925 are more designed for pint canning than quart canning. If you plan to can quarts you’ll be limited to 7 and you won’t gain any more capacity than a smaller canner would offer.

That’s a good enough deal and it’s worth getting at that price regardless, but this is just FYI.

Definitely check out r/canning, as they use safe (not rebel) canning.

I have a smaller one that I bought over a decade ago directly from All American for more than that price, so this is a screaming good deal!

I pressure can raw chicken chunks (for a quick chicken salad). I also really love Ball’s roasted pork in spicy sauce- makes a good base for a hearty soup.

Wow. And there’s nothing wrong with pint canning, especially if you have a smaller family.

This is a great price! I bought one about 10 years ago and I LOVE it. Read all the instructions and check out information on the Ball canning website.

    Nothing online in California 🙁

Why get one of these instead of a few prestos at the same price?

Saw them in Salem Oregon today.

Is that package AI? I can’t imagine a package with six different pressure cookers of decreasing size.
