Diners who are always on the look-out for their next authentic Italian experience may try the recently opened Via Posa restaurant in Fairfield, which serves house made cornettos, bomboloni, pizza, pasta and paninis.
The eatery opened Aug. 3 at 2126 Post Road in Fairfield, it announced on its Facebook page.
Posa Ristorante and Vineria in Ridgefield, whose menu is “rooted in the traditional cuisine of Positano,” opened Via Posa, it announced on its Instagram page. The parent restaurant offers “Italian fine dining,” it says on its website, as well as casual fare from its pizza bar and charcuterie boards on the patio.
Via Posa offers Italian specialties such as gnocchi alla sorrentina, which is baked gnocchi, San Marzano sauce and fresh mozzarella, arancini cacio e peppe, fried pepper rice balls and frittatina di pasta nerano, which is fried pasta with zucchini and smoked provola cheese, according to Toast Local, a food ordering platform.
Also on the menu are paninis made with a variety of breads – from focaccia, flatbread, ciabatta to pizza bread. These are made with chicken cutlets to smoked and cured Italian meats.
