New partner Fiasconaro will bring a taste of Sicily to the portfolio through its confectionery offer.

Food Accademia will return to TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2026 with an expanded portfolio of Italian food and drink brands, including new partnerships with Fiasconaro, Mezzacorona Group, Cantina Rauscedo and Caffè Morettino.

Exhibiting at Blue Village stand AA4, the company will also showcase the continued travel retail development of its Michelin-starred Alajmo offer and the newly refreshed identity of Jimmy Tartufi, formerly known as Tartufi Jimmy.

Food Accademia said its 2026 presence will reflect a wider strategy of positioning Italian food as an experiential part of the travel retail offer, rather than simply bringing individual products and brands into the channel.

Its portfolio spans confectionery, gourmet food, wine, coffee and regional specialities, with products selected for their connection to particular Italian regions, families and culinary traditions. The company aims to use these stories to create a stronger sense of place and give international travellers an opportunity to discover Italian culture through food.

“Travel retail should never become just another retail channel,” said Fabrizio Canal, Founder of Food Accademia. “Travellers are looking for experiences that reflect the destinations they visit. Our role is to curate the best expressions of contemporary Italian food culture and help retailers transform shelves into stories. Every product should offer travellers a genuine sense of place – a small piece of Italy they can take home long after their journey has ended.”

Among the highlights at Cannes will be Alajmo, created by Italy’s Michelin-starred Alajmo family. Its travel retail collection spans gourmet pantry products and premium gifting, combining the group’s fine-dining approach with formats designed for international travellers.

New partner Fiasconaro will bring a taste of Sicily to the portfolio through its confectionery offer. The range includes naturally leavened panettone and premium confectionery alongside its Dolce & Gabbana collaboration, combining Sicilian ingredients and traditional craftsmanship with distinctive Italian design and gifting credentials.

Based in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Cantina Rauscedo focuses on native Italian grape varieties and regional winemaking traditions.

Jimmy Tartufi, meanwhile, will introduce its renewed international identity following its rebrand from Tartufi Jimmy. Rooted in the truffle traditions of Umbria, the company combines traditional craftsmanship with a more contemporary interpretation of one of Italy’s best-known gourmet ingredients, targeting the premium travel retail market.

Another new addition is Palermo-based Caffè Morettino, which was founded in 1920. The coffee company will showcase its Italian Grand Tour collection, which celebrates Italian destinations through collectible tins designed to double as travel souvenirs. Its portfolio also includes more contemporary products such as Specialty Cold Brew, combining the company’s century-old heritage with modern coffee culture.

Food Accademia is also expanding its wine offer through partnerships with Cantina Rauscedo and Mezzacorona Group. Based in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Cantina Rauscedo focuses on native Italian grape varieties and regional winemaking traditions. Products being highlighted include its award-winning Ribolla Gialla Extra Dry and Fossa Mala collection.

Mezzacorona Group brings two contrasting Italian wine regions together within the portfolio. Mezzacorona represents the Alpine winemaking traditions of Trentino, while Feudo Arancio draws on Sicily’s Mediterranean character, giving travel retailers access to complementary regional identities through one wine group.

Food Accademia said the expanded portfolio reflects its belief that food can play a growing role in destination storytelling as travel retail moves towards more experiential concepts, particularly as travellers seek products that provide a tangible connection to the places they visit. The company ultimately aims to help retailers present Italian food and drink as part of the travel experience itself, using provenance, regional identity, design and storytelling to turn products into souvenirs and memories rather than simply purchases.
